Can’t Keep Up? 4 Simple Steps To Improve Your Results Now!

We all seem to be struggling to manage our time effectively in some way or another. Almost every day you hear somebody complain that they don’t have time do everything they need to.

Imagine you found a simple way to achieve more with your time, would you be interested?

Or maybe working on your bad habits or your procrastination?  It is certainly not clear where to start, and it is no wonder why many individuals are clueless about it!

If you feel weighed down by all the advice and tips you read and you are looking for the easiest way to get organized and achieve more, follow these simple guidelines and tips to get organized easily and effectively.  It is easier to start planning small, instead of trying to take the whole month on, so start with the week ahead or even just a couple of days.

How to Get Organized:

Step 1

Take out a piece of paper and write down everything you want to accomplish or have achieved by the end of the week. This can be related to your personal and/or your work goals.  What are your priorities that if you accomplished, would make the biggest difference to you right now and in the week ahead?

Step 2

Break your goals down into small manageable tasks; most often the end goal can be broken down into a few steps. You want to be crystal clear about these steps and everything that you need to consider to accomplish your objectives successfully. By now you should have a list of top goals for the week and every step you need to take to achieve them.

Step 3

You now need to schedule these action steps into your diary. Effective scheduling takes time and you want to take a few things into consideration. Firstly, always plan your routine tasks first, the tasks which you have to do each day. Then you must include the action tasks you came up with in Step 2 in the remaining time you have. Remember to leave 25% of your schedule open for unforeseen crises or urgent tasks, don’t plan your time to the last minute, as that will never be realistic. Lastly, estimate how long it will take you to complete the task as accurately as possible.

Step 4

The final step is the most important and which ironically is the most overlooked. What could get in the way of you achieving these objectives you have set for yourself? What are your obstacles or challenges that could throw you off task? Think about everything that could come up and write them all down, from your distractions to procrastination, whatever you think could potentially stop you.
Next, write a solution based on the actions that you could take to overcome each challenge. You need a plan to support you in making changes. What can you do differently to overcome your common challenges? What will be different next time?

The way you behave and manage your time is very habitual, so you need to deal with it in a similar manner as you would when you change any habit.

Finally, don’t forget to reward yourself for the efforts you make. Rewards keep us motivated and driven to achieve what we desire, and you will not only feel amazing once you reach your objectives, but also wonderful because you know you have a reward waiting for you.

If you can master these 4 steps on a weekly basis, your productivity will triple and you will achieve more than you could have ever imagined. The first step is always the most difficult, but the most important. Can you commit to taking that first step? Are you willing to give up, let’s say, your usual way of doing things to be out of your comfort zone and in the zone where results and transformation take place?

We all want more time, but it isn’t actually time that we lack, but skills to manage time. Time affects every part of your life, so make time to improve how you spend your time and your once elusive goals will start to become your reality.
