How To Be Happy Now

Your brain can only focus on one thing at a time.

One emotion.

One thought.

If you are stressed, it’s because your brain is focusing on certain things that stress you out. If you are happy, it’s because your brain is focusing on things that make you happy.

At any time, there is enough out there to make you happy, excited, depressed, scared, paranoid, you name it…

The only difference in how you feel is what your brain focuses on.

For example, one of my students (and one of our Freedom Fast Lane coaches), Jeff Kappel, only sees opportunity. Everywhere he goes, he sees it. When he has a project not go well, he just learned something. His brain is completely focused on opportunities.

Others would see the same things and only see failure: “That didn’t work,” or “This is gonna cost money,” or whatever. It’s all about what they focus on.

I made the video above while on a road trip throughout America. There was a pocket of unbelievable scenery that took my breath away. While I was driving, my brain was thinking about all the things that I had to do, the girl I was going to see, the worries that I had about money… in other words, my brain was darting all over the place.

And as I turned around the corner… I was taken aback by the beauty that was in front of me. The stresses and worries disappeared immediately.

Did anything change? No, just my focus.

Your thoughts are illusions. The only thing real about them is how they make you feel. Choose carefully what you focus on, because none of you can add a single hour to his life by worrying.

This is my favorite thing to discuss; while most people talk about work all the time, I’d much rather talk about happiness. That’s why I argue that your Freedom Business HAS to be built around making you happy and giving you your ideal life. I discuss this, and more, on our live Lifestyle Design classes inside of Freedom Fast Lane.

Ryan’s motto is “live life to the fullest.” And, he certainly lives up to the challenge.

As a freshman at Indiana Wesleyan University, Ryan started a small internet business from his dorm room to help pay his tuition . . . and by the age of 20, he was earning a 6-figure income and other online ventures – all while continuing to study full time. Needless to say, Ryan’s “side business” allowed him to graduate debt free – with a nice chunk of change left over.

After college, Ryan expanded his online business and set out to see the world. His next big adventure? Inspiring others to live free lives and create their own destinies . . . just like he had.

With that vision in mind, Ryan created the Freedom Publishing Group LLC, which offers life-changing products in the financial freedom, health and fitness, and self-development spaces. The Freedom Fast Lane is a group of likeminded entrepreneurs who have a passion for sharing their skills to help others succeed in achieving their dreams.

Ryan is a world traveler, an avid Cleveland Indians fan, and a big fan of freedom.
